Tips To Ensure Post Office In Nigeria Delivers Your Package
It is always very annoying when items or packages sent from outside the country through Nigeria Postal Service, a.k.a post office, do not get to one, or they get missing. That causes pain along with losses, which could even make one get depressed.
There are many instances when items or packages arrive at the post office in Nigeria with traceable addresses, but the staff won't deliver them. For example, packages from Google, payoneer, etc., are often sent to our office address in Lagos, but they won't deliver. There was a time Payoneer sent our USD, GBP, EUR and CAD master cards to one of the post offices closer to us, and they didn't deliver or call us. After a long waiting time, we visited the post office only to be told that they had seen them, but the master cards had been returned to Payoneer. That was very annoying because Payoneer didn't bother sending the others.
Another annoying one is our Google Adsense PIN that was repeatedly sent, but they didn't deliver and constantly lied to us that they didn't receive it till Google stopped displaying ads on our website. At that point, we liaised with one of their staff to watch out for any package from Google. Luckily for us, he then gave us a call when the Google PIN arrived, and we were able to activate Google Ads on our website.
To help you with not having such an experience, follow the tips below:
1. Take note of the post offices closest to you and confirm the exact one where items or packages coming to your address are delivered. Once you confirm the exact post office, you can go there to liaise with one of their staff to be on the lookout for your item(s) or package(s).
2. When filling in your address for delivery, don't just put any zip or postal code; visit https://nigeriapostcodes.com/ to get the exact zip or postal code of your address or location. For example, someone living somewhere in Lagos will put 23401 as the correct postal code; that is wrong because zip or postal is usually six-digit.
3. This tip will most likely guarantee you get your item(s) or package(s) delivered, which is effortless. Since you already know the exact location of the post office, just put a narration with your phone number in the address section stating they should call you when your item(s) or package(s) get(s) to the post office. For example, our address is 71a Shyllon Street. Palmgrove with Mushin post office attached to it, but we won't put the address; instead, put "Please call or text us 08091833866 when the package arrives at Mushin post office."
